Maharashtra on high alert after blast near Mumbai, IED found on bus
Maharashtra Police is on high alert after a serious blast took place on a busy Mira road in Thane district near Mumbai on Wednesday night. An explosive IED was found on a state transport bus in Raigad district in Mumbai. It was implanted to cause serious damage.
After the Pulwama Terror Attack incident happened, Maharashtra Police has increased high checks to detect any suspicious materials, unidentified bags at public places, public transports etc. Sweeps are being carried out at all possible installations by the security personnel.
All the buses & vehicles are being checked alarmingly. Also, it is being appealed to all the people to alert the police if anybody found any type of suspicious looking material anywhere which is left unattended.
The team of ATS has reached the place where the blast took place. They were verifying everywhere of the incidents and identifying the issues involved in this. Meanwhile, another low-intensity took place in a toilet of Kalindi Express on Wednesday evening.
