Coa Meet to talk about of playing Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2019 is likely to top the agenda when the Supreme Court appointed BCCI Committee of Administrators (CoA) meets on Friday as calls for boycotting the neighbor in the marquee tournament in the United Kingdom have come from all quarters.
Many former and present cricketers, including Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, Chetan Chauhan, and Harbhajan Singh have unequivocally denounced the Pakistan-backed Pulwama terror attack that killed 40 CRPF Jawans on 14 February by Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)
According to BCCI sources, the two-member Committee of Administra(CoA) is divided on whether India should play the World Cup match against Pakistan. Former Comptroller and Auditor General Vinod Rai is the chief of Supreme Court-appointed CoA and ex-cricketer Diana Edulji is its member.
There have been growing demands that India should boycott its clash with Pakistan during the World Cup starting in May this year in England, as a mark of protest.
