2019 Delhi Lok Sabha Election results out
Voting in 7 Lok Sabha seats in Delhi was held in a single phase. Seats included Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, New Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi, and East Delhi, the results were declared on Thursday. The main parties contesting the Lok Sabha elections were Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Congress.
The seats went to the polls on Phase 6 on Sunday, May 12, 2019.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is leading the trends in all the 7 parliamentary constituencies of Delhi while defeating Congress heavyweights including Ajay Maken & Sheila Dixit.
North East Delhi
BJP’s Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari has expressed confidence of BJP by winning more than 350 seats.
Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir of BJP is leading by over 2 lakh votes in East Delhi, leaving behind Arvinder Singh Lovely of Congress & Atishi of AAP.
The sitting MP & the chief of Delhi BJP unit, Manoj Tiwari is leading over by 2.5lakh votes against the three times former CM, Sheila Dixit.
Election results: BJP leading in 300 seats. Debutant Gautam Gambhir, Union Minister Harshvardhan and sitting lawmaker Manoj Tiwari of BJP were among early gainers.
AAP which has been in power since 2015 in the Delhi government was in 2nd place in South Delhi, North West Delhi, and West Delhi.
According to the Election Commission of India, BJP, which had won all 7 seats in 2014 Lok Sabha seats, was leading in Chandni Chowk by 25,152, South Delhi by 41,640, North West Delhi by 70, 683, West Delhi by 75, 664, North East Delhi by 78, 963, East Delhi by 34, 875, New Delhi by 32,352 votes respectively.
